On January 15, 2018, various fruit and vegetable seeds were planted in the garden beds located on the south side of the Adams Traditional Academy campus. This year the National Junior Honor Society students have been assisting with the maintenance of the garden beds by weeding and watering the beds daily. The following have been planted and we are excited to see them sprout up: kale, basil, cilantro, beets, cabbage, carrots, green onions, assorted sweet peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, watermelon, cantaloupe, and tomatoes.
The Food Service department will display in the multi-purpose rooms/cafeteria, which meals have our homegrown ingredients fresh from our gardens. We are excited to watch our garden grow and to provide fresh fruits and vegetables in our Food Service meals. We ask that visitors and parents not pick any items from the gardens.
If you would like to help our garden continue to grow and prosper, we are accepting donations for more seeds to plant. Please contact Ms. Maddaox at email@example.com for more information.
