Recommended Reading Lists
Book Report List
*Updated October 2019: Reading lists now include which books are available in the ATA Library for checkout.
*Updated August 2017: Reading lists are alphabetized by author
The purpose of having a Recommended Reading List is to ensure that before a student graduates from Adams, the student has read at least 30 quality literature books and completed reports on them. A student may pick any book from the Recommended Reading List for his or her book report as long as:
1) the book is at or above the student’s current grade level
2) the book is not an adapted version of the story (i.e., it should not say “Adapted by…” on the title page).
Lexile measures are provided for most books. These measures can be used to help students and parents select appropriate books. For more information about Lexile scoring, please visit www.Lexile.com.
If an error is contained within these reading lists, please contact Hillary Hancock.
