Creative Arts Club

Would you be interested in joining an after school art club? The Creative Arts Club is for students in the third to eighth grades. The club will be held on Thursdays from 3:30—4:45pm. Enrollment is limited to 15 members. The Club will be by school quarters or approximately nine weeks. The club members will enjoy drawing, painting, and creating crafts.

This year the Creative Arts Club members have done many drawing lessons, created a pine cone turkey, painted props for the school music program, learned to make paint from ingredients found in a kitchen, experimented with different watercolor painting techniques, and completed two community service crafts. Colored number books were given to a few homeless families and small stuffed bears will be included in humanitarian shipments to a Mexican orphanage.

Our basic schedule for a month will be: drawing, painting, chalk, and a craft. Sometimes our craft will be a “Kids Care” craft. This is a craft we will make and donate as a community service project.
